Kivells also had there first ever sponsors lunch with there main attraction being the ladies game with some of there staff playing for Oke & Bude and lots of connections within. We hope this can be an annual lunch and carry on our strong connection with the firm.

After last years encounter with Bude in a pre season friendly we knew it wasn’t going to be an easy test, with both teams looking for there first league win aswell.
From the get go the Oke’s were receiving, when the ball lands in Phoebe Ogbornes hands she was off to the races passing through the Bude defence and dotting the ball down, setting the story to the game. Bude were physical but the Oke’s were finding ways through the gaps and out wide to score. The Oke’s held Bude to nil well into the second half but some thumping runs from there 8 and they added some points to the score line. It was a thrilling score ending at 94-17 with 7 tries for Issy Edworthy, 4 tries for Phoebe Ogbornes and 1 a piece for Abi Knight, Mimi Childs & finally a forward try for Emily Cannon! Conversions were 8 for Kacey Day, 2 for Becky Dennis and 1 a piece for Issy Edworthy & Phoebe Ogborne.

A massive thank you to Bude for coming up for our first Saturday match of the season and hopefully many more! They never let there heads dropped and gave it there all the whole match, good luck for the rest of the season and we look forward to our next encounter. We also want to wish our Amelie and Immy, and the Bude girls with injuries a speedy recovery.

We also want to thank everyone who made it possible to be able to play on a Saturday, it can be quite challenging especially with so many teams at home and a big thanks to the kitchen staff who had to feed alot of hungry mouths!
